Experts share their insights on entrepreneurship -- 400+ attendees, 40+ exhibitors, 9 Honorees
HOLLYWOOD, FL, [ ] – Hispanic Unity of Florida presented its 7th Entrepreneur Summit and American Dreamer Awards on September 28 at Nova Southeastern University—drawing a record crowd of 400+ attendees. The Summit serves as a platform to inspire entrepreneurs and help connect them with business experts and tools. This year, JP Morgan Chase was the presenting sponsor. The Summit hosted networking opportunities, facilitating face-to-face connections for new and emerging business owners, Fortune 500 companies, subject matter experts, government agencies, chambers of commerce, educational and financial institutions, marketing gurus, small business experts, media, and more.
A successful South Florida entrepreneur, Carolyn Aronson, Founder and CEO of It’s a 10 Haircare, delivered a Keynote address and share insights on her personal journey as an entrepreneur (watch the keynote introduction), sponsored by Canon. She started her company with a star product, Miracle Leave-In, and the line quickly rose to fame through pro hair stylists, who shared the cult-favorite product with their clients. Now a successful, global hair product company with a passionate celebrity and consumer following, It’s a 10 Haircare products are sold in 25,000 professional salons and between 10,000 and 15,000 chains like Ulta, Regis and The Salons at J.C. Penney.
American Dreamer Awards & Conversation
The event welcomed the American Dreamer Awards, sponsored by JM Family Enterprises, Inc. and Southeast Toyota Distributors. The American Dreamers Awardees are individuals recognized for their steadfast success, business acumen and community service. Since its inception in 2010 the awards have been presented to 40+ honorees who represent the rich entrepreneurial culture of South Florida. These exceptional individuals have succeeded as entrepreneurs and are building their American dream.
